<p><strong>Fucked Up</strong>&#8216;s <em>Town Comp</em> is a limited edition 12&#8243; for Record Store Day 2011 featuring 11 tracks not on the upcoming full length rock opera <em>David Comes To Life</em> featuring some snazzy retro cover art. (I already regret the use of &#8220;snazzy&#8221;) These songs create &#8220;a fictitious compilation album from a British town (where David Comes To Life is set) circa 1978-83, in the tradition of local punk, post-punk and DIY comps of the era&#8221;.  </p>

<p>Our New York pick for Record Store Day is <a href="http://www.myspace.com/generationrecordsnyc" target="_blank">Generation Records</a> where the <strong>Bouncing Souls</strong> will be performing a special acoustic set at 2 PM in the basement if you buy their 7 inch at the store. More details on their site.</p>
<p>Fear not, New England Metal Festers, there is a store in Worcester called <a href="http://www.thatse.com/" "_blank">That&#8217;s Entertainment</a> that is part of Record Store Day.  Only about 2 miles away from the venue, so it&#8217;s a convenient stop on the way to the fest.</p>
