Austrian Death Machine, a metal tribute to famous Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes was one of the show stealers at the festival. Featuring members of As I Lay Dying, Job for a Cowboy, Unearth among others, the band ripped through tracks like “Get to the Choppa!” while having people on stage in Arnold and Predator masks. The guy who wore the Arnold mask even did some impressions and vocals. Unfortunately, I don’t think they had any songs about Twins, maybe on follow up. Check out some photos below.

Suicide Silence played an unannounced performance at New England Metal Fest early in the day on the main stage and the crowd went insane. I am not to familiar with this band, but their energetic live show definitely peaked my interest. Check out some photos below.

Between the Buried and Me were one of the highlights Friday night during New England Metal Fest this year performing right before headliners All That Remains. This band announced they will have a new record out on Oct. 27, but were not prepared to play the new songs live yet. Check out some photos below.

New England Metal and Hardcore Festival kicked off early this year with a pre-party the Thursday night before the festival. The festivities of the night included several movie screenings including Crowley, Iron Maiden: Flight 666 and Anvil: The Story of Anvil. There was also a few performances including Anvil and Kobra Kai an 80′s metal cover band featuring members of Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Fates Warning and Dark Day Sunday.
