“Hello my name is David!”
All 4 songs Fucked Up have released early are stellar. I absolutely love the end of “Queen of Hearts” where the female vocalist comes in. Check out the song below. Also check out Buy Early Get Now to find out how to get 4 bonus 7 inches and mp3s early if you pre-order the record
Another amazing track from Fucked Up‘s forthcoming record David Comes To Life. Look out for the record on June 7th.
Fucked Up’s new album is shaping up to be the album of the year and we have only heard two songs! The first two singles released, “The Other Shoe” and now “A Little Death” are both pushing the band forward into this territory of poppy experimental indie rock with hardcore sensibilities which they started to explore on The Chemistry of Common Life and they are nailing it. Read more for an mp3 of “A Little Death”.

Fucked Up continue to alienate hardcore punk purists with their latest offering “The Other Shoe” from the forthcoming David Comes To Life a rock opera about a guy who works at a light bulb factory. This song is amazing and as long as the rest of the record holds up it could possibly top the greatness that was The Chemistry of Common Life. Female vocals really sound nice against Damian’s rougher vocal style.
From the Chunklet staff comes the new book “The Indie Cred Test” which was illustrated by Jesse LeDoux and co-designed by Henry Ownings and Aaron Draplin. The magazine is very funny and presumably the book will be equally or more humorous. Chunklet is also releasing the limited edition Fucked Up 12″ Coke Sucks Drink Pepsi and have been kind enough to offer both the 12″ and “The Indie Cred Test” for a cheaper package deal or separately at the Chunklet site.
More on the Fucked Up record…
A 12″ special live set recorded by these Canadians in Atlanta at the EARL last year. They barrel through a ton of originals and a cover of “Son of Sam” by Chain Gang. Damian espouses his love of Pepsi versus Coke and dedicates way too many songs to record collectors. Running time: 37 min.
Check out the album art for the 12″ below.

After playing ATP this past weekend, Fucked Up came down to Jersey to play Maxwell’s. As per usual they slayed and lead singer Damian Abraham found all sorts of ways to entertain the crowd. He climbed the bar, stuck empty cups of root beer on his head and even struck what he referred to as his best Morrissey pose (pictured below). Read on for a ton of photos.

Cloud Nothings were the sole opener for Fucked Up’s show at Maxwell’s. The band played a real energetic set of garagey-pop-rock with a great drummer who beat the shit out of the kit throughout the whole set. Read on for more photos.
