Deftones have announced a covers LP to be released exclusively for Record Store Day on April 16th. The release will compile their various covers over the years including The Smiths, The Cure, Duran Duran, The Cars, Drive Like Jehu, Jawbox, Cardigans, Japan and Sade. No Weezer covers unfortunately. Bradford Cox of Deerhunter has released a new collection of songs from his side project Atlas Sound as a free download. It includes covers of Kurt Vile’s “Freak Train” and Bob Dylan’s “The Wheel’s On Fire.” The tracks were recorded on a Tascam DP-08 and Cox’s computer between August and November 2010.
