The folks at Scion continue to bring us some solid metal shows for free. This time the line up features Coalesce and the Cave In who have only played one show I believe since becoming active again earlier this summer. I suppose metal heads are upgrading from smelly conversion vans to Scion’s. The Atlanta show will take place October 7th at the Masquerade and the LA show October 8th at The Knitting Factory.

Coalesce have decided to get interesting with the pre-order for their new album OX. According to the band “Shirts are cool, but we wanted to try a few different things” and the few different things include a stash box, flask, slipmat and a 12 piece print art set which features hand silk-screened 8″ x 8″ prints. The prints feature simple but striking iconography. All of this was designed by the incredible Don Clark of Invisible Creature and Demon Hunter.

The prints are limited only 200 pieces. 175 are black and silver, and then 25 are a limited red on red. They all come in an envelope with a wax seal. A very classy touch. The stash box is lined with velvet and features a removable bottom, which I shouldn’t have to tell you what that’s for. The super fans will be pleased.
