Atlas Sound, Bradford Cox’s (Deerhunter) other project performed at the stunning St. Cecilia’s church in Greenpoint last night, the first night of the Northside Festival. The set was heavy on new songs that reverberated beautifully through the unique acoustics of the church. Check out some photos below.

Screaming Females slayed Music Hall of Williamsburg opening with “Buried In The Nude”. Their sets have always been mind blowing and they seem to somehow get even tighter each time.

Colleen Green was the first of four bands opening for JEFF the Brotherhood at Death By Audio. She performed her cute pop songs with her friend Marissa to a drum machine and her voice paired with fuzzy guitars sounded excellent live. Check out some photos and an Mp3 from her new 7″.

Brooklyn Venue Shea Stadium has launched an extensive online database of live show recordings at their new website liveatsheastadium.com. Some highlights include Double Dagger, Future Islands, La Sera, Japanather, Lemuria, Sweet Bulbs, The Men, So So Glos and Adult Themes. We are stoked to check out Joan of Arc of playing their tomorrow and hoping that some clips of that show up soon.

ohnomoon played their debut show at Glasslands in Brooklyn to a packed crowd despite the blustery weather. The band played an impressive set for their first show. They played around 6 or 7 songs of their noisy-shoegaze pop, with a highlight of the night being an awesome cover of Pavement’s “In The Mouth A Desert” from Slanted and Enchanted, which took on a different sound when primarily sung by a female vocalist over fuzzed out guitars. ohnomoon has a few demos up on their muxtape page for you to enjoy.

The Loyal We, also known as Kate Sikora and Lindsay Lueders, played a most intimate show at the Red Hook Bait & Tackle last Saturday, November 6. These New York-based lasses, who met several years ago in Tokyo, assembled a memorable set of dreamy, melodic ditties.

This track by Nihiti has that urgency of early Arcade Fire or Wolf Parade and it’s heavy drum and bass give it a unique bounce and swagger. The song is cool and the album art by Viktor Timofeev is rad, check that out after the jump.
