Here’s a very haunting song from Bradford Cox’s Atlas Sound which also shows some roots in 70′s rock. This track is from his new proper LP (as he has released a ton of music this year for free) Parallax. Look out for it on November 8th.

Atlas Sound, Bradford Cox’s (Deerhunter) other project performed at the stunning St. Cecilia’s church in Greenpoint last night, the first night of the Northside Festival. The set was heavy on new songs that reverberated beautifully through the unique acoustics of the church. Check out some photos below.

I am still processing yesterday’s posting of Bedroom Databank Vol. 1 and Bradford Cox has already posted Vol. 2 which boasts 16 tracks all recorded in 2010. Look forward to soaking these in over the long holiday weekend.

Bradford Cox of Deerhunter has released a new collection of songs from his side project Atlas Sound as a free download. It includes covers of Kurt Vile’s “Freak Train” and Bob Dylan’s “The Wheel’s On Fire.” The tracks were recorded on a Tascam DP-08 and Cox’s computer between August and November 2010.
