The cover art for the collaborative project between Lou Reed and Metallica. Not entirely sure of what to expect from this record, but definitely looking forward to it as long as it’s nothing like when Jimmy Page and Puff Dadddy collaborated.

One of my all time favorite Hot Water Music will be coming out with a post reunion 7″, The Fire, The Steel, The Tread / Adds Up To Nothing EP before playing some US shows this fall including Riot Fest East in Philadelphia and the Fest in Gainesville. The artwork looks to be designed by long time collaborator Scott Sinclair.

According to a recent interview in Filter, The Black Lips are aiming for some mainstream success with their latest record Arabia Mountain and we wish them the best of luck because they deserve it. Though we are afraid to hear the “punk track” they are currently producing for Ke$ha, we highly anticipate hearing Arabia Mountain because the first songs released via video have been killer.

I think calling the Arctic Monkeys’ new album art for Suck It & See minimalist might be an understatement. While the album art may be sparse we can expect big riffs on the upcoming album due to production by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. The album will see US release via Domino on June 7th.

Record Store Day exclusive split release from Coliseum and Superchunk (who crafted two of our favorite records last year) featuring their covers of the Misfits which both surfaced last year around Halloween.
